1. Age Requirements (COPPA/GDPR)

Nexus SMP is not directed at children under the age of 13. By using our store or submitting a support ticket, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, or at least 13 years of age with explicit, verifiable permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Data Collection & GDPR Legal Basis

We collect minimal data (Minecraft IGN, Discord Tag, Email Address, and Transaction IDs) based on:

• Contractual Necessity: To deliver your rank and provide customer support.
• Legitimate Interest: To maintain financial records, prevent fraud, and enforce server bans.

3. Payment Processing & Third Parties

We use trusted third-party platforms to process payments. We do not store or process full credit card numbers or CVVs. By making a purchase, you also agree to the privacy policies of our payment partners:

• Stripe — for direct card payments
• Ko-fi — for standard donations
• BisectHosting — for direct-to-host server time donations

4. Data Sharing & Security

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Manual payment records (Crypto Hashes, UPI UTRs) are stored in secure, private Discord tickets accessible only to senior management.

5. Your Data Rights

You have the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or request permanent deletion of your data by opening a Support Ticket.

6. Staff Applications

When you submit a staff application through our website, we collect and process the following data:

• Minecraft Username — verified against our AuthMe database to confirm you play on the server.
• Discord Username — your primary point of contact for application updates.
• Age & Timezone — used for scheduling and age requirement compliance.
• Languages Spoken — helps determine your ability to assist players.
• Server History & Previous Usernames — reviewed for moderation history checks.
• Ban History — assessed to evaluate past conduct on other servers.
• Application Answers — your responses to role-specific questions, scenario assessments, and self-ratings.
• IP Address & User Agent — collected for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and application verification.

Your application data is stored in our MySQL database and is accessible only to senior Nexus SMP staff members. We retain application data for up to 12 months after a final decision, after which it may be anonymized or deleted.

By submitting a staff application, you consent to this data processing. You may request deletion of your application data at any time by contacting us. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions come from real users, not automated bots.
